Is this possible?
Ok I'm still under the assumption that non-inscribable weapons only drop in prophecies and factions and that inscribable weapons only drop in nightfall and gwen, but after seeing this thread in the trade forum I'm all confused. http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10232609. Could someone set me straight here? It appears from reading that thread that a non-inscriptable weapon has dropped in gwen. I can believe that this would happen if those other people can, but how rare of an occurance would this be? Analogous to getting a r8 inscibable weapon or even more rare?

Not that rare, golds without an inherent bonus have always occurred. Under the inscription system, this would equate to one without an inscription slot.

Its not a "non-inscribable" weapon. Its just a weapon without an inscription slot or bonus damage.
This of it this way, if that sword said 14% damage while healt his above 50%, then it would be non-inscribable. But that, as it stands, is no difference for a white "clean" weapon with no mods on it. Its only gold because the deathbane mod is near perfect. |

I've had one drop in Nightfall a while back. Only truly "rare" I have ever had drop in almost 30 months now. They are just one of the options that can occur on any gold, it sucks when you get one of the really rare items and it happens to do that. I was told the area I had mine drop (the monoliths during the LB farm run outside of the Remains of Salajha) drops them more often than other places - I don't know if that is true or not however it is where I found mine.
I found someone with an OK green that wanted one to try and convince their friends they had purchased the Real Thing (this one was also req 9 *sigh*). The 5k or so green was better than merching the blasted thing. Otherwise I figured I would just keep it in case Anet ever decided it was a bug and needed fixing, my heroes wouldn't complain. |

Its simply just a weapon who dropped without an inscription slot.!
The "of Deathbane" is a mod like "of Fortitude". I remember my dissapointment when the chest in The Deep (which drops inscribable weapons) dropped me a Requirement 9 Zodiac Sword without an inscription slot. |
